Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. As a young girl, she relocated from London to Oxfordshire to attend the Dragon School. Emma always had the desire to become a professional actor from the age of at the age of six. She studied at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy which offers classes for part-time students. As part of a school production and the stage of a Stagecoach show, she took her role as lead actress at 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie version to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting agent through her Oxford drama teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that following eight auditions they and Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's debut on screen came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in the year 2001. It also was one of the top-rated films during 2001. The opening days and weekends of ticket sales were record-breaking. The film received praise from critics, as were the performance of three starlets. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Then Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her performance in the film, winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in the Feature Film.
