Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Originally from Worthington Ohio, she quit high school to move into Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. However, in 2001, despite finances it was possible to land her first major role in the online video series Rachel's Room as the principal character. In 2002, she was awarded a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder on the streets of Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace went on to take home the award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 and she shared the Screen Actors Guild Award (with all the other actors) alongside her. Grace was a co-star together with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, was looking to go to film. Grace has been on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 as well as in Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of these role. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost in the series, which included the conclusion. In 2013, she appears in Californianation, the 6th Season. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie, and also a model for stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. As a member of the Gyllenhaal family she is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager She appeared in small roles in films made by her father. She also co-starred with her older sister in Donnie Darko which is a cult classic. She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606), both of which earned their Golden Globe Award nods. After a string of commercially successful films, like World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). The role she played in Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child received her a nomination to an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Other roles she has played include the role of a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) and a musician in the film Frank (2014) and her role as the lead in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal debuted as a director and writer in 2021 with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
