Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actor, known for her roles in the films Beta Saajan as well as Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! In the 80s when she started her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. She next appeared in the film Dil In which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Born into the Mumbai middle-class family, and began to dance at a young age. She ventured into acting as young and fought for a few years as most of her initial films were flops. The actress gained fame and was one of India's top movie actresses. After marriage, she experienced a break in her career before re-entering the business. In recent times, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was awarded the film eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. In addition, she is known for her charitable works.
